Join Chef Salar Melli and experience Rutherford House Provincial Historic Site’s new restaurant: Vintage Fork.
 
Chef Salar and his team will present an elegant and playful dining experience with dishes inspired by the Rutherfords and their time, as well as creative variations on classic dishes.
 
The restaurant is open Tuesdays through Sundays, and closed on Mondays. On weekdays, it opens at 7:30am each morning, and offers items such as Croissant Egg Sandwiches, and daily fresh baked goods until 11:00am.
 
Vintage Fork’s lunch menu is served from 11:30am to 2:00pm, and will include selections such as Chicken Mornay Pot Pie, Fresh Salmon on Risotto, Braised Lamb Shank, and a daily soup.
 
On weekends, Vintage Fork serves brunch from 9:00am – 2:00pm, featuring selections such as Eggs Benedict on Waffles, Quiche, and Waffles with fresh fruit and house made syrup.
 
Late afternoon tea and coffee, as well as fresh baked goods, are available until 5:00pm. High Tea is available for booking.

FORHS Walks App is live!

View our city through an historic lens with the new FORHS Walking Tour app! Developed by Digital Fractal Tech with support from the Edmonton Heritage Council, this mobile app allows Edmontonians and visitors to explore fun, informative and interactive historical walking tours connecting Rutherford House to the surrounding community. 

Our first walk is up -- take a leisurely 30-minute walk through campus and learn about what was happening at the University of Alberta from 1908 to 1939.

Stay tuned for more historical walking tours, which will explore the connections between Rutherford House, Alexander Rutherford and the City of Edmonton.

FORHS has been an Edmonton institution since its incorporation in 1985. Many heritage advocates, charity enthusiasts, and community-minded individuals have made their mark by volunteering their time and talent to this Society.

FORHS offers experience in many areas including: heritage, education, research, volunteer management, board governance, capital project fundraising, and special events management.

FORHS welcomes those who can commit between 5 and 10 hours every month to this worthwhile endeavour. All ages are welcome to apply.
